Information on EatWell’s Professional Fees, Private Health Fund rebates and How You May Be Able to Claim a Medicare Rebate

Fee structure

Fees for Individual Appointments (from 1st Nov '06)

You may be able to claim a rebate from your private health insurer (see below). There is no GST on individual nutrition appointments. We require payment on the day of consultation and ask that you give us at least 24hrs notice of cancellation or a fee may be charged (refer to cancellation policy at end of this section).

Fees for Online and Email Assessments & Computer Dietary Analysis

There are two levels of computer dietary Analysis available. For a description of these services please click here.

The fees for the two levels are:

Basic dietary assessment	$ 120
Premium dietary assessment and 3 month review / ongoing support	$ 240

Medicare Rebates

In certain circumstances, Medicare rebates may be available for clients who have complex needs and are referred by their GP. Ask your GP if this applies to you!

Private Health Fund Rebates

Claire is a registered provider for all major private health funds, which means you may be able to claim a rebate, depending on your level of cover. Rebates vary but can be as high as 80% of the consultation fee. Most funds also offer rebates for participation in group education programs. Please check with your health fund to determine your own eligibility for a rebate.

Dietitians do not currently have access to electronic processing of health fund claims on the spot (HICAPS), but our professional organisation is negotiating for this to occur in the near future.

Payment Methods

We accept cash, cheque and credit cards and EFTPOS. We ask for payment on the day of consultation, and for you to give us at least 24 hours notice if you are need to cancel an appointment.

Our Cancellation Policy

For individual appointments and groups, we ask that you give us at least 24hrs notice of cancellation or changes to your appointment time. A 50% cancellation fee may be charged for missed appointments or appointments which are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice.
